First Day of Spring 2011
The seasons are caused by Earth's revolution around the sun and the Earth's axis is tilted. Temperate and polar regions, different seasons are characterized by the transformation of the intensity of sunlight that reaches Earth's surface.

There are two outstanding seasons for tropical regions-dry and wet seasons. Polar and temperate regions, spring, summer, autumn and winter are the four seasons.

Spring Equinox. Also known as the first day of spring equinox or March. It marks the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere and south in early fall. The spring equinox or March is when the sun moves toward the equator, going from south to north. This may occur some time in March 20 or the next day each year. During this season, day and night are equally distributed on the same day at every location on Earth.
